Serve Day

Apalachee’s All Pro Dad Serve Day featured dads and other father figures assisting and greeting at Morning Parent drop off. Dads opened doors with a smile and greeting. This service event was followed by breakfast and fellowship. Apalachee's All Pro Dad Chapter was inspired by Proud Principal Dr. Pam Hightower and is led by Mr. Marlon Blake. All Pro Dad Launch Party

Dr. Pam Hightower, Proud Principal of Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts initiated All Pro Dad to enhance parent engagement which will increase student attendance, engagement and performance. The Apalachee All Pro Dad Launch Party, held on January 30, 2026, was a resounding success, drawing a diverse group of fathers, uncles, grandfathers, mentors, and even mothers to partake in a morning of breakfast, fellowship, and reflection. Central to this gathering was the powerful theme of "Commitment," which served as the cornerstone of the event's discussions.

The Apalachee chapter of All Pro Dad is led by Mr. Marlon Blake. During the brunch meeting attendees engaged in heartfelt exchanges about the pride they feel for their students. This sentiment of pride seamlessly intertwined with a shared commitment to providing unwavering support for the young individuals throughout their lives. The atmosphere was one of unity and purpose, as everyone present reaffirmed their dedication to nurturing the next generation.

All Pro Dad operates as the fatherhood initiative of Family First, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to education. This program focuses on fostering positive relationships between fathers and their children, emphasizing the vital role that paternal figures play in child development.

The collaboration between the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Office of Prevention and our esteemed Principal, Dr. Pam Hightower, was instrumental in establishing our local chapter of All Pro Dad. This partnership underscores the importance of community involvement in educational and developmental initiatives, aiming to extend support beyond the confines of the classroom.
